Hi all! We could still use a few more volunteers at our annual Par for Pink golf tournament, on Monday, at Tanoan County Club.
We could use four more volunteers from 7:30-9:30am for registration and two more from 2:30-4:30pm for lunch. Please let us know if you are interested in helping out with registration and lunch accordingly.
Thanks so much for all that you do! 💕
Our monthly in-person Caregiver Groups are the second Monday of each month.
These monthly gatherings will be for the loved ones of all cancer thrivers as they navigate the journey of caring for and supporting someone on this difficult journey.
It will be a peer led group, co-facilitated by Chris Smith and Amy Liotta who both lovingly walked beside their spouses and other family members while they were battling cancer.
The group will be hosted at the Canteen Brewhouse, on the patio, in an area that will be reserved specifically for our group. These groups will be on the second Monday evening of every month.
The support group will be from 6:00-7:00, with an optional Social Hour from 7:00-8:00. So, we encourage caregivers to come grab a drink and/or some food, and get acquainted after the group as well.
Warriors, if you want to accompany your caregiver to Canteen that is wonderful, however the support group portion itself will be limited to caregivers only to give them their own space in which to share and support one another.
Please spread the word, and share with the caregivers in your life. Let’s help support our caregivers the way they love and support us each and every day! 💕
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Sacred Spring Reiki Collective to bring reiki back to Pink Warrior House.

This month reiki will be on Tuesday, August 12th, with sessions available as follows:
10:00am - Session #1 (Open)
10:00am - Session #2 (Open)
11:00am - Session #3 (Open)
11:00am - Session #4 (Open)
12:00pm - Session #5 (Open)
12:00pm - Session #6 (Open)
After you RSVP here, please text Allison at (505) 577-5264 with your preferred time slot, and we will update the availability in the invitation accordingly.
Each of our Pink Warrior’s may have three complimentary individual reiki sessions at this time, paid for by Pink Warrior House. After that, we encourage you to communicate directly with the practitioners to establish a rate, if you would like to have additional sessions.
Sacred Spring Reiki Collective is a group of dedicated Reiki Practitioners in the greater Albuquerque area providing Reiki treatments, classes and opportunities to cultivate the healing energy within us all! Their mission is: “Reiki guides us toward the realization that Universal Love resides in each one of us--it is the convergence of Spirit and humanity. Our mission is to honor the innate healing ability of All Living Beings through Reiki.”
We hope you will take the opportunity to benefit from this beautiful practice! 💕
This is a wonderful opportunity for all of our Warriors navigating the challenges of life on the other side of active treatment. Those navigating their “new normal” as NED (no evidence of disease) have an opportunity to get together and discuss the mental and emotional challenges that come after chemo, radiation, and/or surgery.
This group will be IN-PERSON ONLY on the second and last Wednesday’s of each month.
We are hoping to have a guest speaker for the last Wednesday this month.
We hope to see you in-person on September 10th! 💕
We are thrilled to be partnering with Amanda Tay (Pink Warrior) and her beautiful studio, The Movement Temple, to bring you this new offering once a month.
This class will be held from 11:30am to 12:25pm once the 2nd Thursday of each month, and will be limited to 20 attendees.
This will be a gentler version of their traditional trapeze yoga class.
From Amanda, “Students are often attracted to the Yoga Trapeze for spinal traction and passive backbends, but very quickly they learn that the functional pulling and grip strength offered compliments a mat-based yoga practice to create a full-body fitness routine.
A yoga practice or exercise routine that integrates The Yoga Trapeze, even if just once or twice per week, includes pushing, pulling, holding, twists, backbends, forward bends, hip opening and so much more. You can work your shoulders, calm your nerves, and leave class floating on air.
Your spine is just like an accordion made up of vertebrae and discs, and the pain you experience is almost always the result of compression. If you release that compression, even just a millimeter, it can massively reduce your pain. Everyone’s body is different, but it is amazing how many people find inversion therapy effective. In just seven minutes you can find remarkable relief.”
Benefits of Inversion Yoga:
•Creates space in your spine with TRACTION
•Improve STRENGTH all around especially with pull motions you do not get in a regular yoga class
•Increase FLEXIBILITY using gravity to achieve deeper passive stretches
•Improve BALANCE on and off the ground
We hope you can join us for this fun and exciting event! 💕
The Salt Cave has re-opened, and we are thrilled to bring back the Salt Cave Sound Bath!
Guided Meditation with Sound Healing Experience featuring Christine Michel with The Salt Cave.
Relax, let go, and immerse yourself in a transformative Sound Healing session. This session features the enchanting sounds of crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, and chimes, and you will be guided through a powerful meditation.
Based on the size of the salt cave, we must limit this experience to 10, so please be sure to RSVP accordingly. If you are interested in being added to a waitlist after capacity is reached, please call or text Allison at (505) 577-5264.
The sound bath will begin at 6:00pm, and we ask that you try and be there a few minutes before, so the event can begin on time.
We hope to see you on Monday, September 15th, in the Salt Cave! 💕

This group will be offered in collaboration with Amy Bellomo Robinson, and the Radiant Healing Together Community.
We will be meeting virtually on the third Thursday of every month. This will be a virtual only gathering. Please find the Zoom link below for your reference.

Powering Your Mental Health with Plant-Based Nutrition.
Come discuss the importance of mental health and self-care while battling chronic illness and the part that nutrition can play in boosting happiness, resilience, and mental well-being during times of stress, change, and chronic fatigue. We will discuss key ingredients in a plant-based diet that can assist in strengthening the mind, promoting positive mental health, and helping battle against anxiety and depression along with other mental health conditions that often accompany the diagnosis, treatment, and long-winded battle against chronic illness. The menu will include a brain-boosting summer salad with berries and nuts, a homemade baked falafal, and a fresh hummus from scratch with a bit of sweetness and spice to round out the end of summer! Please join us in learning more about the ways in which we can guard our minds and mental well-being against the detriment of age, mental illness, and stress while promoting better brain health through healthy eating and lifestyle.
Amanda Kelly is a Certified Holistic Health and Cancer Coach specializing in plant-based nutrition to address chronic illness with a background in holistic mental health, crisis intervention, and community outreach and resource navigation. She obtained her Bachelors in Psychology and Political Science from the University of New Mexico and has a passion for working with local nonprofits to address systemic public health issues in underserved populations.

Yin Yoga Salt Cave Yoga & Sound Bath.
The Salt Cave provides an immersive self-care and wellness experience where you can enjoy a variety of services including dry salt therapy in a large salt cave!
This is a 60-minute yoga session in the salt cave, with Stevie as the instructor for this month.
This session is limited to 12 breast cancer thrivers.
We anticipate that this class will end up on a waitlist.
If all 13 spots are taken, and you are interested in being added to the waitlist, please reach out to Allison.
We are paying for each individual slot, so that this can be a free program through PWH. So, if you commit to a space, and are unable to attend, please remove yourself from the RSVP, so that someone from the waitlist may attend accordingly.
Yin Restorative Yoga allows for the body to slow down, relax, and turn inward which helps alleviate stress and restore the body’s energy levels, while improving flexibility, boosting circulation, and reduces tension. The Salt Cave will help alleviate stress and anxiety as well. It provides a relaxing environment with a tranquil atmosphere, making it the perfect haven for mindfulness.
While “yang” yoga focuses on your muscles, yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, and joints. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.
We hope to see you on Saturday, September 27th! 💕
