Now that the weather is beginning to cool a bit, we are happy to bring back our bi-monthly walking groups at Tiguex Park!
On the 1st and 3rd Monday evening of every month, we will meet at the (west) entrance to Tiguex Park at 5:00pm, across from the Albuquerque Museum. We will walk, and chat, for 90 minutes. For those with kids, you are more than welcome to bring them, if they are able to walk, or can be pushed in strollers. You don’t have to stay the entire time, but we welcome you to join for whatever time you can! We are excited to meet and move with you! 💕
In collaboration with Lovelace Embrace, PWH is thrilled to host Yoga and Guided Relaxation, every Tuesday from 5:00-6:30pm at Pink Warrior House or virtually via Zoom.
Yoga and Guided Relaxation
These free yoga classes are designed specifically for patients who have been diagnosed and treated for cancer. The focus of these classes is on stretching and strengthening with special attention to areas affected by treatment for breast cancer. It is coupled with guided relaxation. You may choose to participate in both sessions or one of the two.
EVERY TUESDAY:
5:00-5:45 p.m. Gentle yoga class designed to support all stages of treatment and recovery with modifications and options for all levels.
5:45-5:50 p.m. Short Intermission
5:50-6:30 p.m. Guided relaxation using Yoga Nidra techniques to develop deep rest supporting emotional and physical healing.

We have brought back our monthly in-person Caregiver Groups for 2023.
These monthly gatherings will be for our loved ones as they navigate the journey of caring for and supporting a cancer thriver in their lives. It will be a peer led group, co-facilitated by Chris Smith and Amy Liotta who both lovingly walked beside their spouses while they were battling cancer. The group will be hosted at Canteen Brewhouse, on the patio. These groups will be on the second Monday evening of every month. The group will be from 6:00-7:00, but someone will be there as early as 5:30 to greet you. So, we encourage caregivers to come grab a drink and/or some food, and get acquainted before the group begins at 6:00pm. Warriors, if you want to accompany your caregiver, that is wonderful, however the group portion itself will be limited to caregivers only to give them their own space in which to share and support one another.
Please spread the word, and share with the caregivers in your life. Let’s help support our caregivers the way they love and support us each and every day! 💕
Pink Warrior House, Lovelace Embrace and the Young Survival Coalition co-host this monthly gathering.
We hope you can join us, as this is a chance to meet other young women who have been through similar diagnosis, treatment and life changes.
Going through Breast Cancer is difficult at any age, but going through it at a younger age presents some unique challenges. You are not alone! good company guaranteed!
This month’s meeting can be attended virtually or in-person. The Zoom link can be found below for your reference.
We hope to see you! 💕
