So often the topics of the challenges of missed memory and chemo brain arise in our group discussions. We wanted to offer some skills to try and combat these challenges.
So, we are so excited to welcome Julie Wright, fellow member of our beautiful PWH community, for another installment of our education series. This one will be (In-Person) at Pink Warrior House Foundation.
Julie will tap into her many years of life coaching and facilitating and teaching executive functioning to help us all access our highest levels of functioning including focusing on our working memory!
Have you ever have to change your mind, make plans or stay calm in a difficult situation? Thank your executive functioning skills. The three main executive functions are working memory, cognitive flexibility and inhibition control.
Executive functions (EFs) are a set of cognitive skills that help people manage everyday tasks and achieve goals. They act like an air traffic control system for the brain, coordinating other cognitive abilities and behaviors. They help people plan, focus, switch tasks, and adapt to new situations.
We hope you can join us as Julie guides us in:
Harnessing Executive Functioning: Turning Strengths and Weaknesses into assets.
Participants will learn to identify their unique strengths and weaknesses in executive functioning and gain practical strategies to leverage these traits effectively. This talk will provide the knowledge and confidence to thrive by embracing your executive functioning profile.

It will be an in-person only group, meeting at Pink Warrior House from 9:30-11:00 on Saturday, March 8th.
We will feature an expert in the field of nutrition and fitness each month, to share helpful information, answer your questions, and provide materials to help you on your journey toward wellness.

Our monthly in-person Caregiver Groups are the second Monday of each month.
These monthly gatherings will be for the loved ones of all cancer thrivers as they navigate the journey of caring for and supporting someone on this difficult journey.
It will be a peer led group, co-facilitated by Chris Smith and Amy Liotta who both lovingly walked beside their spouses and other family members while they were battling cancer.
The group will be hosted at the Canteen Brewhouse, on the patio, in an area that will be reserved specifically for our group. These groups will be on the second Monday evening of every month.
The support group will be from 6:00-7:00, with an optional Social Hour from 7:00-8:00. So, we encourage caregivers to come grab a drink and/or some food, and get acquainted after the group as well.
Warriors, if you want to accompany your caregiver to Canteen that is wonderful, however the support group portion itself will be limited to caregivers only to give them their own space in which to share and support one another.
Please spread the word, and share with the caregivers in your life. Let’s help support our caregivers the way they love and support us each and every day! 💕

Guided Meditation with Sound Healing Experience featuring Christine Michel from The Salt Cave. While the Salt Cave is still undergoing repairs from the fire, we invited Christine to bring her bowls to Pink Warrior House for a special Sound Bath and Guided Meditation at Pink Warrior House. We hope to be back at the Salt Cave in April.
Relax, let go, and immerse yourself in a transformative Sound Healing session. This session features the enchanting sounds of crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs, and chimes, and you will be guided through a powerful meditation.
Christine Michel, founder of Emotional Frequency Sound Healing, is a seasoned tuning fork practitioner with nearly 15 years of experience. Specializing in supporting people with chronic emotional and physical pain, Christine facilitates transformative group sound healing healing experiences. These immersive sessions combine the vibrational resonance of crystal singing bowls and tuning forks, guided by a soothing meditation, to promote deep relaxation, balance, and harmony.
Based on space, we will be limiting this experience to 12 individuals, so please be sure to RSVP accordingly. If you are interested in being added to a waitlist after capacity is reached, please call or text Allison at (505) 577-5264.
We hope to see you on Monday, March, 24th at 6:00pm, at Pink Warrior House! 💕
This is a wonderful opportunity for all of our Warriors navigating the challenges of life on the other side of active treatment. Those navigating their “new normal” as NED (no evidence of disease) have an opportunity to get together and discuss the mental and emotional challenges that come after chemo, radiation, and/or surgery.
This group will be IN-PERSON ONLY on the last Wednesday of each month.
We hope to see you in-person on March, 26th! 💕
